A leading transport & logistics company is seeking a Site Manager/ Supervisor to be in charge of P&L and entire business for Ibaraki Logistics Centre and who has managed big-sized warehouse abroad.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING ON A DAILY BASIS?

You will be responsible for the overall performance of an operational site including warehousing, customer service + administration in order to achieve all agreed financial + operational objectives. You will do this by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders. Your scope may include distribution activities depending on the location.

The activities needed to deliver these objectives include:
  • To lead, plan, organize, staff, + direct all office + warehouse activities at the site.

  • To achieve your key performance indicators (KPI) in the areas of cost management, productivity, customer service + profit.

  • To ensure your teams deliver against their customer, site + people (KPI).

  • To drive all activities relating to customer on-boarding, retention + operational excellence; collaborating at a site level.

  • To drive productivity via engagement activities to create new initiatives focusing on continuous improvement at all times, ensuring your site meets or exceeds their productivity targets.

  • To contribute information required for tenders/proposals to support closing of new business.

  • To ensure that everyone involved in distribution activities deliver the right transport solutions.

Then review all of the factors that contribute to excellence across our operations, troubleshooting any concerns + implementing sustainable solutions to ensure we can continue to evolve our customer relationships, forming trust + deeper relationships to enable new opportunities.

Your solid management skills + understanding of contract logistics along with your operational background will be the key to your success.

You have been selected for this role for your operational experience + because you are passionate about operational safety, ensuring all of your team, customers, suppliers + community are kept safe.

Language Requirements:

Japanese (Business level), English (conversational)

 

Must:

Able to drive forklift and be able to instruct it to subordinates.
