A NYSE-listed tech company with strong, consistent growth in Japan is searching for a Finance Director who will become its next Japan CFO.
At first, this Finance Director position will report to the current CFO. The CFO plans to gradually hand over his responsibilities during the next 3-4 years.
The Japan CFO position is the second highest position in the Japan organization. It is responsible for the financial management of two distinct companies, as well as the general management of all other back-office functions including HR, IT, Legal, and General Administration.
In total, Japan CFO manages up to 8 finance and accounting staff. It is a strategic, finance business partnering role involving close communication with the Japan CEO and the US HQ.
At first, the new Finance Director will be in charge of the day-to-day financial management of one of the two distinct subsidiary companies in Japan. This will including managing a team of 2-3 accounting staff and responsibility for the monthly and annual financial closing, as well as FP&A responsibilities such as annual budgeting, variance analysis, etc.
Native-level Japanese, business-level English
10-15 years experience in senior and management-level accounting/finance positions at international companies in Japan
Experience in a management-level finance role at a B2B company
