European company with 20 staff in their Japan business.
As a key manager in the Japan management team, the Financial Controller will be responsible for the overall smooth functioning of Finance & Accounting, HR, Logistic and Office Administration.
This position shall report administratively and functionally to the Managing Director, Japan and the Finance Director of APAC.
Provide accurate and timely financial reports and information in accordance with group rules and local GAAP.
Look after financing issues and manage working capital
Ensure adequate accounting and internal control procedures and processes are put in place to prevent or detect fraud or reporting errors.
Prepare periodic forecast, annual budget and ad-hoc financial analysis.
Oversees tax, audit, banks and leasing matters.
Advise management on how to enhance productivity for Accounting and Logistic functions, including the suggestion of various tools.
Work closely with functions in the company.
Responsible for the Logistic Management and Operations.
Work with the Managing Director closely to build a performing team for Finance & Accounting, Logistic & Office Administration functions
Japanese: Native Level
At least 8-10 years of relevant working experience and minimum 5 years of managerial experiences, preferably gained in multinational organizations
Knowledge and experience of direct dealing with Clients, Banks, Auditors, Legal Advisors and Suppliers
Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, orally and in writing
Person with drive for improvement and excellence
Leadership charisma and capability of leading the Finance and Logistic teams.
Pro-active in liaising with the senior managers, Corporate Finance Department, APAC Finance Controller
