The Role

This HR Business Partner (HRBP) will be a member of the Customer Support Management Team in Japan and work closely with the CS director, manager and supervisors. As an HR leader you will support the entire CS population of approximately 200 employees across the country, connect and provide them with solid advice and feedback on HR strategic topics. This position is also expected to demonstrate leadership for the entire Japan organization beyond your own sector.

Your Mission

  • To drive HR strategic agenda, lead and manage their implementation for CS sector in Japan
  • To lead and facilitate HR processes(ex. performance management, potential identification, succession planning, etc.)
  • To proactively support CS sector initiatives as enabling partner
  • To enable people leadership and competence development in CS sector
  • To provide advice and consultancy to managers and supervisors on talent acquisition
  • To co-work with managers and supervisors on people related issues and challenges
  • To implement and embed global/regional initiatives, on both sector specific and HR related topics
  • To function as change agents, participating in company-wide programs and initiatives (ex. Organizational Development, culture)
  • To work with the country HR team to define HR strategies and priorities and act accordingly
  • To lead country HR projects and drive continuous improvement on HR operations

Ideal Skills And Experiences

  • 10 years of experience in the field of HR business partnering within multi-national companies and ideally technical business environment
  • Experiences in multiple HR functional areas are plus (eg. recruitment, compensation, organization/leadership development, etc.)
  • Change management and organizational development experiences are advantage
  • Well-rounded experiences in strategic and operational roles
  • Native Japanese and high proficiency in English (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator (both interpersonal and group)
