Main Role & Responsibilities
In your role as HR Business Partner, you are the first point of contact for the Management Team for all HR related matters. The aim is to provide our business with the best possible support from the HR function and thus contribute to the overall success of the business.
You will advise and support the management team in Japan on operational and especially on strategic HR matters (e.g. recruitment, training and development, succession planning, organisational changes, remuneration, social insurance, labor laws) as well as leading workshops if necessary or moderating difficult discussions.
You support the global Head of HR Business Partners of the Group in deriving, defining and implementing HR strategic measures based on the local and corporate strategy.
You are well integrated into the network of international HR Business Partners around the globe and participate actively in international and cross-group projects.
You are the interface and advisor for the requirements of the local business and the HR central functions, which include Centers of Competence for Recruiting, Learning & Development, Compensation, HR Operations or HR Marketing which support you.
Currently our main HR focus in Japan is on Recruiting and Training for our staff in our Tokyo office and especially for our production site in Iwate.
Ideal Skills & Experiences
Completed relevant academic degree, e.g. Bachelor, for this position (e.g. business administration, industrial psychology) with multiple years of professional experience in a similar position, ideally in a manufacturing, industrial environment.
The ability to understand and to link business strategy, corporate culture, HR systems and individual behavioural patterns with one another.
Open communication, diplomatic approach, negotiation skills and perseverance.
Basic understanding of global economics, extensive knowledge of human resource management and fluent English skills and local language Japanese.
