An exciting role for an experienced HR professional at a leading American technology company.

This position reports and works with the HR Director who is responsible for HR in Asia. The position will play a significant role supporting business leaders to achieve their business growth and success through development and implementation of effective people solution that drive for a high-performance team. The HR Manager will lead the overall direction and drive execution and delivery of HR strategies and initiatives in Japan

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide a full spectrum of human resource functions to client groups on areas of talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, training, performance management, talent management, and employee engagement initiative, termination and day to day office operation
  • Formulate and implement associated HR policies and procedures as well as ensure compliance with ethical, legal, government, and other related regulations
  • Work efficiently with Corporate HR team to simplify procedures and HR transformation
  • Work closely with Country Leader and local leadership team to identify, develop and implement people strategy and practice that fulfills business needs and help achieve business goal
  • Engage and support leaders on organizational change management, employee issues and sustainability
  • Champion employee engagement, support growth and development of people in the business
  • Support the development of high performing teams
  • Execute effective HR programs and processes to address the needs of business/functional units
  • Lead and ensure delivery of superb HR support and service to the client groups
  • Manage Employee Relations issue, provide consultancy and advisory service
  • Drive Wellness Initiatives, CSR and FAST activities
  • Implementing global HR strategies and modify for local requirements and business needs

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree holder in HR Management or related discipline
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience, minimum 7 years of experience in HR Operations or General HR in Hi-Tech and multinational organization
  • Good knowledge of Japan Labor Ordinance, Employees Compensation Ordinance and other HR-related legislation
  • Thinking associated with the interpretation of procedures to resolve problems within established frameworks.
  • Strong coaching and project delivery competencies
  • Strategic and tactical with strong sense of accountability, urgency, detailed & process oriented, willing to work under pressure in fast pace & dynamic environment
  • Proactive, dynamic, strong influencing and interpersonal skills with business mindset
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skill with good command of written & spoken English
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees
