The Role

This role owns, leads and manages the overall Market S&OP process to ensure alignment across functions and senior market management to delivery of business goals for short and medium to long term. The primary responsibilities of this role, Manager Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) are to facilitate the S&OP process both for combustible and RRP categories, including preparation of the monthly S&OP as well as the ownership of the implementation and local governance of the global S&OP standards and reporting. This role also manages the calendar of events that led up to the final monthly demand plan through the ownership of the overall S&OP and demand planning process as well as proactively identifies supply chain risks issues/risks and proposes solutions during the S&OP through relevant and in depth root cause analysis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Accountability 1

Leads the implementation of a standardized & disciplined S&OP process for all product categories (CC, RRP), following the predefined drumbeat and owns the KPI performance management (such as service level, NPS, OOS, Order Lead Time, Inventory levels, LOGD, productivities). Follows up on key decisions and holds key stakeholders including market management accountable for agreed actions/decisions as part of the S&OP formalization. (1) Advise Customer Service (Regional, local) of variances between existing forecasts, plans, actuals, budgets. (2) Drive alignment of plans and/or corrective actions in forecasting that will improve our supply chain metrics in the area of cost, cash and services. (3) Report on forecasting performance through standard KPIs, dashboard and reporting. (4) Monitor the demand planning metrics and use root cause analysis to resolve largest gaps. (5) Provide input to the supply planning organization in developing inventory and service level target on existing and new products. Holds appropriate stakeholders including site and global leadership, to account for agreed actions for mitigation of risk or realization of opportunities as identified via S&OP.

Accountability 2

Supervises the overall market's demand planning process for all categories (CC & RRP) to meet and beat forecast accuracy objectives through ensuring efficient business intelligence collection processes are in place to monitor and report relevant assumptions, risks and opportunities relating to the medium and long term business targets. Validates the market forecast and advises Customer Service (market) of variances between existing forecasts, plans, actuals, and budgets. Drives alignment of plans and/or corrective actions in forecasting that will improve our supply chain metrics in the area of cost, cash and services. and accountable for (1) the generation and maintenance of an 18 months rolling forecast following a precise planning drumbeat (2) identification of demand plan variations and exceptions (3) Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions

Accountability 3

Collaborates with the Global Category Team, Synch Hub and Markets to manage products lifecycle. (1) Ensure efficient management of Phase-in phase-out for new product introductions by aligning plans with the different stakeholders, assessing their impact in terms of service, cash and cost. (2) ensure the plans are timely reflected into the market forecast, (3) Report on plan performance vs. actuals, previous forecast, budget.

Accountability 4

Continuously focusses to improve the overall S&OP process and develops actionable plans to improve its maturity across all aspects (capability, process improvements and automation). Coaching, mentoring and initiation of improvement projects, where required.

Accountability 5

Reports on forecasting performance through standard KPIs, dashboard and reporting and monitors the demand planning key metrics. Based on identified performance gaps, uses root cause analysis and actively defined solutions to drive improvements in service level, Cost and Cash

Standard, Improvement Processes and Systems In collaboration with COE the preparation, deployment, and utilization of the company standard operating guidelines & systems. Develop and implement t standards working procedures, operating guidelines & systems Drive the drumbeat process and ensure adherence to it Ensure all documentation and transactions in the systems are done accurately and on-time. Control the timely and proper submission of legislative documents required for application, extension, and closure of incentive certificates, in order to maximize benefits for the company and avoid any compliance issues. Actively participate or initiate improvement programs; evaluate, analyze, and implement alternatives; in order to improve consumers (internal and external) service levels at optimal cost. Relentlessly look for and explore any opportunities by keeping abreast of new industry/technological development applicable and regular communication with the company and other affiliates.

Take a leadership role in pioneering, testing and proposing new opportunities and when successful ensure the sharing across the company

Accountability 7

Budget, reporting and controlling: Direct the preparation, secure the approval and control the implementation of the budget for the department. Lead periodical (i.e. monthly) tracking of the performance of Department by setting clear KPIs; and drive the generation of ideas / solutions for further optimization, streamlining and standardization. Closely work with Finance to periodically track the actual spend vs. budget, identify possible deviations, and propose corrective measures. Inform Management in case of risk or significant deviation in line with company policies.

Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related fields APICS certification and/or certification in Business Forecasting & Planning (IBF) and/or Lean Six Sigma certification are a plus Fluent in English

Work experience

6+ Years of experience within Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Electronics or Medical Device industry with experience in forecasting, Supply Chain Planning, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and data analytics. Working knowledge of SAP, Supply Chain Planning Solutions and Forecasting Solutions (E2OPEN suite is a strong plus)
