A world-leader Automotive Equipment Manufacturer, with facilities worldwide, is looking for a Logistics Manager to lead their Logistics and Supply Chain teams. With great opportunities for career development internally and in the international arena.
The logistics Manager needs to know inventories of raw materials / purchased parts and to purchase materials needed in order to maintain adequate stock to meet production requirements corresponding to Production, Purchasing, outside vendors, and freight companies to ensure proper communication regarding planning and materials issue.
Evaluates and plan material requirements to support manufacturing build plans.
Monitor supplier delivery schedule in the SAP system and review /revise it according to their status.
Manage and educate team staff in the continuous improvement journey.
Be the owner of the P&L together with the S&OP manager of the area and make the best decisions in terms of costs.
Coordinate the import/export cycle with the 3PL suppliers as well as the warehouse team.
Make a production plan, based on customer demand and forecast.
Manage the SC and Logistics team.
4-5years of experience in the field such as planning and logistics operation (MFG preferable but not essential).
Knowledge of import processed and trading experience.
Working knowledge of SAP system is preferable, or experience in some other production control systems.
Communication skills (English/Japanese business level-mandatory)
