​The mission of the Operations Director is to ensure a solid operation in the organization, drive innovation and efficiency and to further develop the local strategy according to the global guidelines and the local market requirements with the clear aim to maintain the competitive advantage. It is also to be the guardian of compliance in Food Safety, Quality, Technical and Safety, Health and Environment. The Operations Director is the challenger of all the functions in order to maintain consumer trust and preference in the organization.


Key Outputs

Support Market cross functional alignment:

  • Interact with HQ to align strategy and priorities and to support commercial objective in the market

  • Contribute towards and support the roll out of corporate initiatives/projects

  • Drive strategic initiatives leading to continuous improvement

  • Drive innovation and find synergies within the group

  • Develop organizational mindset across the organization

  • In partnership with all channels and marketing across Supply Chain, define and lead a common customer strategy


Deliver operational excellence in SC:

  • Demand & Supply Planning Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Manage Inter Market Supply Issues, partnership agreements, common Inter-Market-Supply-Planning applications and ensure integration at the planning and transactional level

  • Lead the Monthly Business Planning (MBP)

  • Physical Logistics Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Manage the 3PL (3rd Party Logistics) relationship, ensure the distribution network strategy for the market

  • Delivery Services Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Manage the relationship with Logistics operators


Deliver operational excellence in TQM:

  • Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Drive the Ecolaboration strategy in the local value chains

  • Ensure safety and health compliance to local legislation and company standards

  • Implement the Occupational Safety and Health strategy and requirements within the company

  • Organizational Quality Management Systems Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Organizational Quality Management System is consistently aligned with HQ and communicated in the market, taking into account local adaptations

  • Technical Operations Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Manage the after sales/service suppliers

  • Define the local after Sales services strategy

  • Ris assessment, root cause analysis and action planning Day-to-day responsibilities:


Crisis & Incidents Management:

  • Lead/coach the crisis committee (MT) for all other incidents / crises according to Organizational Quality Management System

  • Lead the follow-up of crises in relation with quality / SHE / technical issues


Develop continuous excellence (NCE) mindset & drive innovation:

  • At market level, drive the development, improvement and implementation in all operational processes

  • Drive efficiency and improve ways of working via innovative solutions (synergies, ways of working, partnerships, services)

  • Ensure highest possible levels of customer Services


Customer Satisfaction:

  • Lead the cross functional continuous improvement actions and be the owner of the customer feedback processes to drive reduction of complaints


Budget Management:

  • Establish budget and monitor spend for Operation department as per Operational Plan (OP) and OMP, respecting corporate audit guidelines


Excel in compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Corporate Business Principles

  • Ensure compliance with Supply Chain & Procurement Policies

  • Ensure compliance of sales products sold within the market

  • Ensure adherence to company principles, policies and requirements and local laws / regulations including SHE

  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Environment, Quality, Safety and Occupational Health related policies

  • Ensure that the technical specification, knowledge about machines, after sales services and guidelines are applied throughout the whole chain, including external after sales partner

  • Manage all import related documentation, and liaise with partner in the Market to leverage synergies

  • Inform HQ about all local regulatory changes

  • Ensure about requested by ISO, to keep quality related processes and assure that actions are followed up


Develop People and Organization:

  • Establish the appropriate organization in line with the OMP and international guidelines

  • Manage the development and evolution of the Operation function in the Market/Region

  • Build, attract, develop, motivate and retain a team to deliver superior performance and results

  • Manage and comply with the HR cycles (PDP)

  • Ensure development of careers, succession plans, development and coaching of team members
