This is a varied and broad role, in which you will be responsible for monthly payroll and associated pension & benefits schemes. You will be responsible for maintaining all employee benefits and undertaking the annual benefits renewal cycle and coordinating annual reporting. You will work closely with both the internal finance team and the external pension & benefit vendors.
Process employee payroll payments on time and through the appropriate channels
Complete all HR reporting documents and follow the required approval process
Calculate and deduct appropriate amounts from payroll checks, including tax withholdings etc.
Oversee internal payroll and accounting audits on a semi-annual basis
Provide documents as requested from HR Manager
Collect banking information for direct deposit setup and initiate deposits on paydays
Familiarize yourself and keep current with the taxation of salaries, benefits and other factors
Maintain and document all payroll records
Detect and process issues related to uncollected payroll
Verify timekeeping records and consult employees about any discrepancies
Record payroll data in our software system and verify all amounts prior to cutting checks
Alter employee tax status as needed as well as any information about withholding
Record and respond to employee complaints, questions and concerns about payroll services
Ensure all payroll is compliant are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Minimum 3 years' experience in payroll
Experience with hands-on payroll processing
Prior experience in HR operations with knowledge of employment legislation and best practices
Excellent organisation skills, can prioritize workload effectively, and work accurately, at speed, displaying exemplary attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Familiarity with local payroll systems and processes
Excellent communication skills, with both internal and external vendors
Sound knowledge of all Microsoft and Google IT systems, experience of HR information systems desirable, ideally SAP
