Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the leadership and management of personnel and resources to ensure adherence and compliance to Quality and other Management System (QMS) processes and TSS policies and guidelines
  • Overall handling/management within relation to TSSJ Quality issue
  • Streamline and review processes with focus on Customer satisfaction and Supply Chain Management objectives
  • Work together with TSS Japan Management Team as well as Global SCM team in questions regarding how to rationalize and develop Quality Control (QC) and Assurance processes (QA)
  • Develop internal talent pool and succession plan through solid leadership 

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Implements, maintains, and improves quality within the logistics center in Japan (LCJ) and the sales organization by following the process-orientated approach.
  • Plans, manages, and controls programs and procedures that maintain an acceptable level of product quality as established by customer, and company requirements, including quality of purchased material, in-process material, and finished goods.
  • Provides leadership and guidance in implementing action for quality programs and for controlling quality costs.
  • Serves as Management Representative for the QMS and represents the Company in all audits.
  • Align, review, organize and approve certification activities with external certification bodies.
  • Ensures the promotion of awareness of regulatory and customer requirements throughout the organization.
  • Support, coordinate and oversee site customer-requested, external regulatory, and internal audits (System, Product, Process).
  • Provides oversight and ensure compliance of QS support elements for the QMS systems LCJ and Customer Service Centers (CSCs): Internal audits, Training, Document Control, Supplier Quality Management and Complaint Management.
  • Maintains higher level quality system documents including Quality System Manual (QSM), Work Instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to Quality.
  • Ensures that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained, including the support and maintenance of the included CSCs.
  • Ensure supplier production readiness by proactively guiding and controlling affected supplier by using TSS frontloading approach or direct APQP if required by customer.

Education and Experience:

  • University degree (in manufacturing or industrial engineering, qualify management & assurance, regulatory affairs, science, or related field is preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance & Management
  • Auditor certificate or equivalent experience for ISO9001. Good knowledge in AS9100 and IATF16949 is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years of team management experience
  • Experience in the 1st & 2nd party audits
  • Work experience in global and inter-cultural/diversified work environment
  • Advanced technical knowledge in sealing/packing is preferred

  • Ability to lead, motivate and mentor the team, with proven leadership skills
  • Good managerial, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Understanding of quality statistics (Measurement / Process capabilities, Weibull analysis,….)
  • Competent knowledge of equipment and manufacturing operations.
  • Correctable normal reading distance vision
  • Knowledge of product drawings (including dimensional, shape and position tolerances), specifications as well as measuring and testing devices
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of applicable corporate policies and quality system documentation
  • Knowledge of quality methods (SPC, Ishikawa, 5W, FMEA, MSA,…)
  • Excellent knowledge of methods for 8D, PPAP, APQP, initial sampling following VDA and FAIR
  • Ability to maintain professional and respectful relationships with coworkers and company • Languages: Japanese – native level / English – fluent (high proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking)
