POSITION TITLE: APAC Regional Sales Director
REPORTING TO: MD APAC / Dotted line to Sr OPS Director APAC
KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Direct Managers, Global Sales, MD, Local established offices in APAC, Business General Managers
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with MD APAC and Sr.OPS Director APAC to set Sales strategy for the region in line with Corporate and regional P&L goals. This will include sales planning, budget planning, product development and more
Measure results, make joint sales calls, help to close business work with the GM's in each market
Begin to qualify customers and prospects to determine strategic plans and service requirements. Establish strong internal relationships with colleagues in Asia, Europe and the US so as to connect Asia to company Global.
With the leadership team put in place the sales structure and infrastructure that will in turn be the foundation for further business development.
Travel through Asia to call on existing and prospective customers to better understand their needs and start to present company Global services.
Work with the current customer base to investigate and facilitate the resolution of any problems or challenges they may be facing.
When the timing is right start to hire, build, train and develop an effective sales team to continue the expansion of company in Asia.

“MUST HAVES” Key requirements and attributes
i.e. Experience required;
Formal tertiary qualification in logistics, business or related experience
Fluent in written and spoken English combined with strong communication skills at all levels of an organization
Minimum of 10 years working within logistics environment with at least 5 years in sales leadership
Proven success in driving growth through sales within the Asia region
In a position to immediately pursue clients/customers which match company’s solutions
Local experience and knowledge of the logistics industry within Asia, understanding the characteristics unique to each country company operates in
Someone that will relish taking ownership and can work independently
A team player with strong communication skills across all levels of an organization
Strong network throughout Asia for potential candidates and customers, not just home domiciled market
Exceptional sales track record with proven experience “hunting” new business and ability to teach others to do so
Ability to speak mandarin
Results oriented with a strong desire to succeed
Strong problem solving and project management skills
