INTRODUCTION

A top international transport company is seeking a Sales Director. The role involves formulating sales strategy for the region in line with corporate and regional P&L goals through active participation in sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning and budgeting. In addition, measure results, make joint sales calls, help to close business, work with the GM's in each market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Begin to qualify customers and prospects to determine strategic plans and service requirements

  • Establish strong internal relationships with colleagues in Asia, Europe and the US

  • With the leadership team develop an effective sales organization design and infrastructure including sales job roles and sales resources deployment that will in turn be the foundation for further business development

  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives

  • Work with the current customer base to investigate and facilitate the resolution of any problems or challenges they may be facing

  • Drive and lead a team to build new businesses and achieve sales growth from existing key account

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Formal tertiary qualification in logistics, business or related experience

  • Fluent in written and spoken English combined with strong communication skills at all levels of an organization

  • Minimum of 10 years working within logistics environment with at least 5 years in sales leadership

  • Proven success in driving growth through sales within the Asia region

  • In a position to immediately pursue clients/customers which match company's solutions

  • Local experience and knowledge of the logistics industry within Asia, understanding the characteristics unique to each country company operates in

  • Exceptional sales track record with proven experience “hunting” new business and ability to teach others to do so

PREFERRED

  • Ability to speak Mandarin

  • Results oriented with a strong desire to succeed
