The role of this position is to oversee logistics in Japan.
The Assistant Logistics Manager will be a successor to Supply Chain Manager and oversee forecasting, purchasing, customs clearance, and distribution of all SKUs in Japan. They will work closely with all cross functions (Quality & Regulatory, Finance, Sales, Marketing).
•Plan and execute logistics strategy
•Build relationship with overseas export teams in Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the USA
•Forecast management (import and domestic products)
•Purchase management (finished products, semi-finished products, and materials)
•Shipping document management including FTA and TPP11
•Clearance management with the customs brokers
•Order management with distributors and direct customer
•3PL warehouse management
•Drive continuous improvement activity including cost reduction and process improvement
•Develop of the most appropriate domestic transportation plan according to the company’s strat plan.
At least 5 years’ experience in logistics including domestic distribution, consumer packaged goods experience preferred
Overall knowledge of supply chain management
Native Japanese level and business level in both spoken and written English
Experience in SAP or BPCS (purchase, inventory, order, and billing)
Cooperation with all cross functions
