Supply Chain Director at a European Furniture company
Responsible for strategy development and execution to drive value creation around revenue growth, profit maximization, supply reliability and service to the patients in the Japan market.
Develop install and realize market initiatives to ensure alignment with overall Company/Manufacturing division strategy, and deliver cost effective, compliant operations.
Develop appropriate planning, supply, distribution, and logistics strategies that are consistent with the regional and market vision. Monitor/track strategic and operational plans and periodic performance against them.
Provide leadership to the development, alignment and delivery of joint objectives within SCM, with other functional areas and external customers.
Create overall strategy for Planning and D&L for the Japan market. Collaborate closely with various stakeholders like Regional Business Operations, External Partners to create Route to Market Strategy.
Manage 4 direct reports and 10 indirect reports.
MUST HAVE: FLUENCY TO READ, WRITE & SPEAK JAPANESE
10-15 years of experience in Network/Supply Planning, Demand Management, S&OP, Distribution and Logistics, Transportation, 3PL, Freight Forwarding, and working knowledge of Asia Pacific Markets required.
Related experience in managing with multiple planning (ERP) systems and interface.
Related experience in metric reporting environment
Working knowledge of inventory, planning systems, Distribution and Logistics and order/purchasing systems
Working knowledge of planning software and system interfaces
Knowledge of SAP highly desirable.
Strong Leadership capability and People management skill to lead a team of Planners
