Job Description


  • Maximise business opportunity by expanding business / product portfolio through business development and licensing activities
  • Responsible for building strategic alliances, generation of new businesses and management of key accounts/partners
  • Contribute to and establish a local product portfolio by filling the gap in in-house development pipeline projects or by creating new opportunities which fit or strengthen strategic business areas and organizational capabilities through in-licensing from 3rd parties
  • Bring in deals (both in- and out-licensing) to exceed annual sales target
  • Contribute to improve company gross margin by reducing cost of products in-licensed from 3rd parties through collaboration
  • Contribute to execute and achieve both annual commercial operation plan and 3-year operation plan by bringing any external opportunities including strategic alliances, M&A, etc.



  • University degree with advanced degree strongly welcomed.
  • Fluent in English with High or Native Japanese
  • Minimum 3-5 years proven successful business development experience
  • Proven ability to identify new business opportunities in Japan
  • Advanced financial skills
  • Exceptional planning, problem solving & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and gain agreement at management and senior level
  • Good analytical skills combined with ability to recognize and implement plans
  • Excellent planning & organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation & interpersonal skills
