The Director will drive the brand's strategic initiative around "Lead with Direct" for Asia Pacific, which oversees the brand's direct business across eCommerce and Brick & Mortar business in region. This position will lead a team, and partner with, the global direct team on Marketing, Product and Merchandising, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT to assure a cohesive global strategy tailored in the region for DTC (Direct to Consumer) business.
- Provide leadership and guidance for DTC team and ensure the continued development and management of a professional and efficient organization that likes to have fun.
- Cultivate strong and transparent working relationships with global team and within the APAC region.

-8+ years of successful leadership experience in a multi-channel global retail and eCommerce environment with a focus on Asian markets, particularly Japan.
-University degree in Business, Marketing and/or relevant field.
-ECommerce leadership experience with basic technology architecture, development process, and eCommerce best practices for web merchandising and content strategy.
-Leadership experience across brick & mortar channel with an understanding of basic retail practices, operational management, and accountability for a P&L.
-Strategic in a short-term approach but able to conceptualize a bigger vision for a long-term philosophy in a shifting industry.
-Ability to understand the brand's current consumers and recognizing potential new customers, both internal and external of the Company.
-Excellent interpersonal and proactive communications skills.
-Highly adept and capable of building and maintaining trusting partnerships and relationships across the board with business unit leadership as well as with the company's external consumer, wholesale, retail and cross-functional partners.
-Fluent in English and Japanese (written and verbal).
-Strong business development, leadership and presentation skills.
-Sociological understanding of target demographic consumer behavior.
-Global business understanding and eCommerce implementation experience desired.
-Digital eCommerce experience within either outdoor/action sports, fashion/apparel, retail or consumer-facing services.
-Product assortment planning and merchandising management experience.
-Command of consumer analytics mining tools and the resulting output.
-Hands-on digital marketing strategy and management including branded platform design, social media, display advertising, eCommerce design and execution (through fulfillment).
-Strong technical experience including oversight of web design, construction and eCommerce integration, SEO, user experience, social media deployment, database building.
-Familiarity with native and leading digital and social analytics tools (i.e. Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, Radian6, Topsy, Piquora, Nitrogram).
-Strong experience & understanding of Demandware Preferred.
