About The Position
  • Provide Human Resources services delivery at our Chiba plant.
  • Manages all HR activities including staffing, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits and training.
  • Responsible for implementation of Human Resources policies and programs at Chiba plant. Support HR functions in another plant in Honshu.

Responsibilities 
  • Manages all HR activities including staffing, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits and training.
  • Ensures site’s compliance with regulations affecting labor practices.
  • Lead in training across site to enhance skill levels of the workforce, thereby contributing to the organization’s overall effectiveness.
  • Participates in the delivery of the company's visions and values.
  • Implements local compensation systems and processes that attract, retain, and motivate employees.
  • Collaborates with Corporate Compensation to ensure local compensation needs are met.
  • Administers global compensation programs and processes for the site.
  • Provides guidance in employee relations area, promoting open communications and a positive work environment.
  • Works with employees and managers to ensure understanding of roles and responsibilities, effective performance appraisals, and career development.
  • Ensures that policies and processes are fairly and uniformly applied.
  • May require involvement with unions and/or Work Councils in coordinating and communicating information flow.
  • Where required, manages HRMIS and Payroll functions at the local site to assure compliance with the global system and local pay practices.
  • May oversee activities in other related areas, depending on location.
  • Effectively practice PBM by coaching and developing direct employees.

Requirements 
  • Knowledge of Human Resources function with particular focus on training, staffing, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems and applications.
  • Planning and organizational development skills to organize resources, conflicting demands and deadlines.
  • Proven track record in an HR generalist position in a MNC preferably with both commercial/business support and manufacturing operation.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in Human Resources with proven leadership skills. Preferably experience in both commercial/business support and manufacturing operation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese (native level) and English (business level).
  • Ability to influence and lead others and interface with all levels of employees and external entities.
