Our client is a leading sports brand and are searching for an HRBP which will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative people practices. In this role, you will partner within the Japan team to develop and implement people strategy to enable successful execution of business objectives. You will provide advice and coaching on all relevant business and people priorities, and continuously drive a high performance culture by supporting the continuous development of employees at all levels of the organization. Also, this role will manage Japan recruitment activities to hire right candidates.

Key duties

  • Drive people processes and initiatives in close collaboration with Japan team.
  • Leverage your expertise in identifying key talent, succession planning, supporting recognition and rewards, developing objectives, performance management, organization design, workforce planning, learning & development and terminations.
  • Gather and analyze relevant people and business information to identify trends, communicate recommendations, get alignment on priorities and implement improvements in partnership with business groups.
  • Equip managers and employees with tools and resources to support their personal and professional growth, ensuring supporting resources are readily available, communicated, and understood
  • Jump at the opportunity to contribute to special and cross functional projects as needed, including developing projects from scratch that solve organizational pain points.
  • Facilitate effective HR and company communication across Japan.


  • 5 to 8 years of strong and progressive HR partnership experience in an international, matrix environment
  • Previous experience in multi-national brands or sales/omni channel organizations is preferred
  • Significant change management and business transformation experience is preferred
