Description

A fortune 500 company in the heart of Tokyo is looking for a Head of Human Resources to lead their 300 employees in Tokyo and Yokohama. 

This job will be required to manage a team of 4, show excellent communication skills in Japanese and English in order to report globally, and develop and execute HR strategy. 


Accountabilities
  • Responsible for managing and implementing all aspects of HR including workforce planning, talent development and succession management, employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition and retention, compensation planning and change management initiatives that support the business unit in achieving its goals.
  • Counsel and coach managers on management best practices, HR processes, policies, regulations and other sensitive HR issues. Ensure resolution of employee relations concerns including management of compliance investigations with related analysis and documentation. 
  • Partner with management in implementing workforce planning, recruitment strategy, hiring recommendations and review of job offers. 
  • Facilitate talent management program activities (including, but not limited to identification of high potential employees, development planning and succession planning)

Experience

Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a 4 year degree; or 8 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent related experience. Communicate well with various stakeholders in English and local language.
