Job Description

Our client is a leader in the European fashion retail and is searching for a head of HR & GA to lead their 4 person team.

As the head of HR & GA, this position is responsible for ensuring professional support and service to employees and being a business partner of the management team members. Duties also include overseeing all aspects of HR and GA practices and processes. The goal is to enable success through HR & GA management, including organization design, recruitment, performance management, training & development, talent management and office management services.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support for management

  1. Give recommendation on organizational change, compensation and propose HR schemes upon necessity
  2. Give HR & GA support/advice to management for organizational issues
  3. Help Managers identify and act on the individuals with high/low potentials/performance and map out development plans and succession plans
  4. Act as an internal consultant and business partner on all employment issues

2. Recruitment & Staffing

  1. Ensure and execute office recruitment based on hiring needs from each department
  2. Supervise and control process of shop staff recruitment
  3. Develop and maintain recruitment channels/sources
  4. Budget control on headcount and personnel cost

3. Talent Development

  1. Execute and ensure performance management system that drives high performance
  2. Prepare and recommend training plans as necessary
  3. Conduct individual staff interviews upon necessity

4. Labor Administration

  1. Update company work rules and guidelines according to laws
  2. Provide advise/support to Managers for labor issues

5. Compensation and benefit

  1. Check and approve payroll data
  2. Ensure reports on headcount, organization, wage and other HR costs
  3. Ensure provisions on HR related costs
  4. Conduct annual salary review based on performance

6. General Affairs

  1. Handle real estate and facilities management
  2. Manage stock taking of fixed and lease assets
  3. Oversee annual health check
  4. Manage and review various insurances

 

REQUIREMENTS

Experience

  1. 8+ year proven leadership experience as a head of HR
  2. 8+ year people management experience
  3. 3+ year proven HR experience in Retail industry

Skills

  1. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive and motivate performance through effective coaching skills
  2. Highly organized with the ability to adapt quickly to strategic change
  3. Outstanding interpersonal, influencing and communication skills (written, spoken, presentation)
  4. Demonstrated project management and internal consulting skills
  5. In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  6. People oriented and results driven
  7. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  8. PC skill: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  9. Language: Japanese (native), English (business intermediate or above)

Education

  1. Bachelor degree or above in Human Resources or relevant field
