Job Description

This role is responsible for:
  • Planning, developing and executing local promotional strategies and campaigns
  • Developing a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
  • Optimising online marketing activities, including managing paid content, social media campaigns, and maximising conversion rates
  • Coordinating online CRM and SNS campaigns to maximise customer retention
  • Managing local retail initiatives across multiple stores
  • Developing local media plans and managing budgets
  • Collaborating with internal cross-functional and global teams to ensure a consistent brand image across multiple channels
  • Managing external vendor partners (PR / advertising / digital agencies), providing oversight regarding content direction
  • Developing media relations strategy, seeking high-level exposure in print and online media
  • Coordinating all public relations activities
  • Leveraging business and media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
  • Overseeing content for press-releases and presentations, online and offline
  • Monitoring analysing and communicating exposure results on a seasonal basis
  • Consistently evaluating opportunities for partnerships and sponsorships
  • Maintaining a keen understanding of industry trends by analysing trade and competitor information
  • Proposing and organising sales promotions, press and VIP events to maximise brand exposure
  • Casting local influencers
  • Managing subordinates, training and motivating them to maximise their potential within the business
Necessary skills:
  • Native-level Japanese / at least business-level English
  • Bachelors degree
  • 7+ years B2C marketing experience (preferably luxury, fashion, beauty)
  • Assertive and proactive
  • Familiar with omni-channel marketing strategies (including digital)
  • Leadership experience (preferably people management)
  • Logical 
  • Negotiation skills
