Job Description

A leading global services company is searching for an HR Manager to assist in their organization which is looking to grow 20% over the next 12 months.

This position will ensure that the business has the people and organizational capabilities to succeed. The core objective of this position is to support the achievement of the company’s business and growth objectives through the provision of business-focused HR support and initiatives.

Responsible for all aspects of the Human Resources Function for the company as follows:

  • Talent Development
  • Talent Planning
  • Employee Engagement and Diversity
  • Rewards and Recognition
  • Performance Management
  • Office Administration

Required Qualification, Skills and Knowledge
  • A Bachelor's degree
  • A HR diploma equivalent qualification would be an advantage
  • Native Japanese
  • Proficiency written and oral English
  • Knowledge and skills as a HR generalist
  • Knowledge of the local labor laws
  • Ability to engage, inspire and influence people
  • Ability to operate in a highly matrix organization and manage ambiguity
  • Ability to develop clear, actable steps from overall strategy
  • Team player

Required Work Experience 
  • Minimum 8 years of HR experience with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity
  • Experience gained in the Japan office of a non-Japanese MNC preferred
  • Knowledgeable in local labour laws, current HR trends and best practices
  • Experience in high growth, fast paced, matrix organization with either direct or functional reporting to a manager outside of Japan
  • Proven track record in quickly gaining credibility and partnering collaboratively with business leaders/key stakeholders within/outside Japan
