Job Description

This role is responsible for:
  • Developing sales plans, including evaluation of sales budgets by class of trade, by sales representative and by point of sale
  • Participating in the management of the line’s sales force and adapting their targets and compensation structure in accordance with development objectives of the brand
  • Selecting new authorised dealers and regularly verifying that criteria are implemented by all authorised dealers, and proposing closure of points of sale that are not satisfactorily meeting this criteria
  • Following the evolution of key product indicators: sell-in, sell-out, share of market, share of voice, inventories, investments).
  • Managing the dealer database ensuring constant updates and verifying accuracy of the identification codes. Informing licensor on sales data, market and competition evolution
  • Collaborating with marketing department to develop trade marketing plans by class of trade and managing marketing budget
  • Implementing distribution and marketing strategies on a yearly basis and manage the evolution of the distribution network
  • Optimising visibility of product in each point of sale procuring point of sale materials and monitor usage
  • Working closely with the licensor and headquarters in the development of tailor made trade marketing tools
  • Coordinating with product development team to maximise product releases and providing feedback on product performance
Necessary skills:
  • Native-level Japanese / advanced English
  • Bachelors degree
  • 3+ years experience in sales & marketing (merchandising experience is a bonus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of brand and market dynamics
  • Confident with use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Works well under pressure
  • Enthusiastic and good networking skills
