Position Summary

Globally leading In Vitro Diagnostics European Medical Devices company is currently seeking their next Logistics Manager for their branch in Tokyo. The job entails high level of services to support the company’s day-to-day operations such as planning and executing supply chain optimisation and innovation actions to enhance business. The incumbent will also need to propose new KPI controls to allow the company to clearly see its current situation and set short to mid-term goals. The position holder will manage 5 members and report to the Country Finance Manager.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provides coaching and mentoring to staff under his/her direction
  • Provides guidance in the planning and organization of the work of the direct employees as well as monitors activities and productivity of account managers and technical service representatives
  • Constantly makes sure his/her team is adequate to achieve company objectives and perform assigned duties and responsibilities, both in terms of number and capabilities
  • Performs other duties as position requires.

- Arrangement(Guarantee)key products supply with planner
- Negotiation with 3PL and vendors
- Project management(Warehouse and internal project)
- Maintain SAP(customer master and material master)

Internal Networking/Key relationships

  • This position requires cooperating with the Director of Service and Field Service Managers to ensure complete customer satisfaction as well as with back office departments to ensure complete customer satisfaction

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

  • 5+ years of experience in logistics & supply chain or similar position (ideally in medical device industry)
  • People management experience
  • Systems proficient (Microsoft Office & SAP preferred)
  • University degree
  • Native level Japanese and Business level English
  • Strategic and analytically minded
  • Great communication skills for both external and internal stakeholders
