This position is for a Quality Assurance Manager for a well known European Food Company located in Tokyo. The position holder will have a responsibility for ensuring company compliance to domestic products for the health and food regulations. This role reports to the Marketing Director, and also manages one QA assistant, in addition to also working with the Marketing/Sales/Logistics teams. 

  • Prepare Product Speculations sheet and package label to adjust Japanese regulation    
  • Imported Products Inspection management                
  • Customer Claim Handling and claim raising to the HQ            
  • Regulation monitoring (CODEX, JAN/EAN, Food Industry regulation, etc)    
  • Conduct mandatory audits or product quality tests            
  • Liaise with headquarters and be the contact point with public agencies and food organisation

2.) QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: (Academic, Professional, Relevant Job Knowledge)
  • 4-year undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management
  • Business level English writing/reading skill                            
  • English oral communication                             
  • Inter/outer personal communication skill (Team spirit is key)
  • Experience work on food processing on production work, laboratory work or marketing                            
  • Bachelors in food science/technology/engineering or related degree              
  • Analytical skills, practical skills for experiments performance and operating scientific equipment
  • Communication skills are fundamental  
  • Ability to do several matters concurrently- multitasking
  • Having a positive attitude, accuracy, flexibility, leadership
  • Capacity to be flexible to work with an international company in a Japanese working environment
  • Open to overseas business travel and training
  • working experience in small companies, (European companies are preferable)
