Job Description

Our client, a European luxury brand, is looking for Retail Training Manager.

Operational Responsibilities:
•Leads retail trainer in the successful delivery of training within Japan
• Oversees that all implemented training contents and modules by the local retail trainer in Japan are successfully delivered with sustainable and measurable results
• Based on feedbacks from local trainings, works with retail trainers to identify areas for development and to delineate improvement measures within Japan
• Is responsible for monitoring performance and KPIs trend of the Retail Staff with local retail trainer within Japan and consolidating results in monthly reports (successes & challenges, improvement levers)
• Is responsible for removing any barriers that are raised by retail trainers and/or flagging any issues to the Director Sales
• Ensures relevant information is cascaded to retail trainers and there is a continuous feedback loop to drive consumer satisfaction and service improvement
• Partners with key stakeholders i.e. district managers, area managers, etc. where applicable to deliver training in the most effective and efficient manager within Japan

Operating Model Transformation
• Secures seamless implementation of the new operating model in the respective district/area
• Acts as role model and change advocate during the transformation process.

Skills required:
-Minimum 2 years of work experience in a fashion customer- and commercial- focused retail environment in a similar retail training role
-Advanced numeracy, literacy and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel in the assigned area up to 80% of working time
- Local language business proficiency and basic English skills
Solid understanding and experience in retail and training
- Strong leadership, coaching and motivational skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills (ability to analyze KPIs and to generate insights on training interventions)
- Strong presentation and didactic skills, able to operate all Office software - Strong customer service focus and relationship building skills
- Proactive problem solver with ability to manage change effectively
