Job Description
This role is responsible for:
- Planning, developing and executing overall sales strategy (including retail / wholesale / shop-in-shop / online channels)
- Building and developing relationships with existing accounts as well as new business opportunities
- Managing a multifunctional team including field sales, account managers, trade marketing. Setting targets, mentoring and training subordinates to optimise business performance
- Collaborating with global and regional teams to enhance company business performance
- Negotiating with key retailer HQ to build exposure and maximise sales.
- Hiring and training new sales staff and providing leadership to younger subordinates
- Reporting to Country Manager regarding company performance and proposing strategies for future growth
- Native-level Japanese / at least business-level English
- Bachelors degree
- 8+ years sales experience (experience with consumer goods company strongly preferred)
- 3+ years people management experience
