Job Description

[Your Mission]
As a Demand Planner, your primary focus will be to forecast and provide a solid and consolidated business growth outlook for 18 months throughout the demand planning process cycle.
You will also be responsible for working together with the Sales team and Marketing team to manage the forecasting process for the short-term, mid-term and long-term for our brands.
Furthermore, you will also develop and enhance current forecasting methodologies and tools, and ensure consistency and reliability across such tools.
Finally, you will also lead the monthly consensus and demand review meeting for the Operations department to get alignment across the different functions.

[Key Responsibilities]
■Forecast baseline and plan demand (operational & tactical) for our brands through the following
•Clean up baseline and historical data and run analyses such data to estimate impact with input from sales and marketing.
•Align analyses with ROI calculations, and help to identify risks and opportunities.
• Ensure consistency of forecasts from period to period, tracking and explaining the changes.
•Collect & agree with team the baseline assumptions, and run forecasting models.

■Enrich statistical forecasts on special planned events on market with our products based on inputs from Marketing team, Sales team, Customer Service teams as well as our Customers.
•Collect market and commercial plans and assumptions
•Collect product life cycle information (new product introduction, product cannibalization, end of life etc.)
•Use data and experience from previous events to convert and agree on the volume of impact from the events planned, using that data to forecast future events.
•Use customer data to enhance demand visibility.

[Required skills and competencies]
•Strong planning experience in Supply Chain Management (FMCG or Food Background preferred)
•Well-experienced in Excel, Access, Power Point
•Able to speak and write Japanese fluently and idiomatically with at least Business level English

[Preferred qualifications]
•Strong ESAP (ERP) process knowledge
•Strong data analysis experience
•Successful experience of cross functional project management
