SENIOR IT SYSTEMS ANALYST
Background : A large US asset manager – managing around 60billion in assets in worldwide -is looking for a Senior I.T. Analyst position – to support their 50 man office in Tokyo. They do not want their name to be mentioned, due to someone already being in the position – this person is being removed between you and I. The role is really a day to day desktop support role - which involves interaction with VIP users as well as oversee the server and network portion. The role will also involve a degree of IT Management – being the only IT guy in Japan for the Group. They are looking for someone with a good level of experience in supporting FI’s - strong communication skills ( Japanese speaking natively if possible ). The role will work closely with London and US IT teams to ensure projects are also implemented in Japan. But essentially they are looking for a safe pair of hands to manage the environment.
The head of IT wants me to interview guys and put them forward to him if any good. The company is our client Fortress – US Asset manager – keep that confidential though.

· Must be a Japanese speaker. / Good English too as the role will be liaising with head offices in US and London
Company background – US/UK/Tokyo based Hedge Fund.
The role requires an experienced safe pair of hands – the person will be the on the ground support for Tokyo – they will also support New York and Hong Kong at times. Hence need to be experienced at supporting users all Japanese speaking – but will need to also work with global IT teams in Hong Kong, London and the US.
This role will require supporting users in the United States via the helpdesk ( follow the sun support model )
I think someone from a banking background might be good for this role – senior Helpdesk or Desktop guy.
Technical Skills require for role :
-Strong Helpdesk experience or running a Helpdesk operation
-Experience with Administering Citrix environments.
-Good Support skills in MS Office 2010-2013
-Ability to troubleshoot Hardware/Software
-Good Solid understanding of IT networks
-Versed in VOIP Telephony ADMINISTRATION and Video conferencing
-Supporting Blackberry, IPhone and Android devices
-VPN Technology and I.T. Security Awareness
-Office 365 - Setup and Administration
-Windows 2012 Administration of AD
-Good Understanding OF I.T. Networks: TCPIP/ LAN/WAN/ DNS/ Routing and Firewalls.
-I.T. Hardware procurement
