Job Description

   Our Client is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Sr. Product Manager to join their Tokyo team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating ideas into strategy and features, and managing the product development of VR and web applications from start to finish along with Unity 3D Developers, Web Developers, Server-side Developers, UI /UX Designers, 3D Designers, QA, and other stakeholders such as the Marketing and Sales Teams. This includes understanding user and business priorities, communicating with engineering teams, organizing and distributing agile based tasks for projects, and ensuring that all members of the product team work efficiently in a fast-changing and moving environment with tight deadlines.


  • Develop and implement product strategies consistent with company vision, user needs and client requirements
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products
  • Work with senior management to create product plans, milestones and roadmaps
  • Lead product managers and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Produce and review product requirements documents (PRD)
  • Collaborate with customers, team members, and outside influencers to ensure a solid and well-rounded understanding of products and developing needs
  • Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule
  • Make creative recommendations to expand product base and vision
  • Suggest ways to track product use and impact on end users
  • Analyze and determine capacity planning, staffing requirements, risk, issues and productivity rates to deliver milestones on time
  • Act as scrum master for agile production
  • Hands-on to create and manage the tickets to make sure the precise language used can be understood by engineer team; supervise each ticket and overall project progress
  • Drive complex engineering tasks of design, evaluation, problem solving, analysis and planning to support logistics operations.
  • Work closely with others in the development and application of automation to increase production quality, efficiency, or volume.
  • Interface with customer for tactical and strategic planning
  • Work with integrators to develop bid packages; activities include define, design, cost, plan, and implement solutions
  • Support Quality Assurance function as and when required



  • Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role
  • Experience in product lifecycle management
  • Background in software development and program management
  • Ability to be creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box to solve problems
  • Strong organizational, project management and time management skills
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Strong English interpersonal communication skills to explain complex concepts, provide accurate reporting, deliver impeccable presentation and the ability to listen and understand team and client needs
  • Understanding of HCD concepts
  • Understanding of unity technical components such as custom shaders, camera and physics components.
  • Experience with and understanding of Scrum / Kanban and agile methodology C#, C++ and Python
  • Experience with cross platform deployments Project management certification (not required, but highly desired)
  • Japanese is required
