Responsibility:
Retail operations
Manage retail's operation (currently 25 full-price stores, 3 factory outlets). Provide clear leadership, apply retail & market know-how, tactical & strategic direction, timely & accurate feedback at regular snr. management meetings, retail team meetings and individual direct-report's one-to-one's (direct reports include 2 snr store managers, 1 VMD and marketing manager). Provide clear retail insights, analysis and action plans at weekly sales meetings. Monitor & control expenditure from Budget and sign-off all retail invoices.

Goals & Results
Lead, set and achieve retail annual net sales and profitability goals in-line with company strategy and targets. Achieve retail net sales goals and profitability, strive to achieve better-than-budgeted net sales and profitability. Lead, set and manage retail teams' goals (retail-wide & individual direct-report's goals)

Lead the Decision Support process.
Ensure meaningful financial information, measurement, reporting, analysis and guidance is provided to the Managing Director and other snr leadership in Japan attaining both maximum profitability and productivity. Be actively involved in and supervise all proposed new store locations, assist Managing Director with new store CBA analysis. Actively participate and provide retail team's feedback in Buy-planning to retail merchandiser's assortments to optimize retail results.

Lead people
Provide retail leadership promoting a proactive, motivated organizational environment by managing your team and its activities. Conduct regular weekly one-to-one meetings with you direct reports providing direction and clear timely feedback. Manage the recruitment, training and development of retail mid-management and store management. Ensure appropriate retail staffing resources to maximize profit.

Internal controls and procedures
Promote and reinforce an environment of strong internal controls and procedures.

Uphold the brand's values of integrity, trust, empathy, transparency & respect.

Relationship with landlords
Maintain strong relationships with mall operators and landlord. Negotiate lease terms when appropriate to meet target profitability.

Ad-hoc Financial analysis
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis (e.g. capital expenditure, cash flow, cost benefit), and prepare and distribute financial models as needed. Perform ad-hoc sales events to meet targets.

Temporary pop-up stores, corporate sales and wholesale
Actively seek out new pop-up store opportunities, manage their operations. Seek new wholesale opportunities and supervise corporate sales efforts to achieve incremental retail top-line growth (pop-up stores sales, wholesale orders and corporate sales all recorded in retail channel's overall sales results)
