Job Definition (Key Purpose of the Job):
Under the supervision of GM (& Regional Marketing Director), she/he is responsible to develop & execute brand marketing strategies & programs, public relations, event marketing and other marketing related tasks, effectively utilizing various media and agencies. In addition, as the representative of the Japan Marketing Department, she/he is responsible to control the overall marketing budget and compile strategies & reports, including VMD, retail marketing, WS marketing as well as CRM program.

Key Result Areas:
-Develop and implement local marketing strategies to align with regional LRP,
merchandising strategies, and distribution strategies.
-Based on the marketing strategies, develop and execute plans for brand
marketing strategies, including promotion, PR and other marketing activities.
-Supervise Press Relations activities for effective media exposure.
-Define consumer segmentation and assist sales team to develop right channel
to fulfill the segmentation.
-Plan & conduct Market Research and Consumer Research as necessary.
-Lead VM team to develop and execute monthly VM program for retail, SBS
and wholesale channels.
-Support and provide retail team and wholesale team on trade promotion
development and execution, which should be aligning with brand position and
LRP.
-Assist sales team to develop SBS by providing marketing supports; i.e.
communication plans, promotions, store concept, and VM.
-Manage and execute the Digital strategies in local market including Owned,
Paid and Social Media with the support from APAC Hub.
-Work closely with AHQ to execute the above.
-Manage the CRM program used in all Timberland stores, leading integration
of offline and online store CRM systems and programs
-Work with global & regional team to execute buzz-creating collaboration
programs
-Proactively interact with other functions to solve problems and optimize marketing activities
-Analyze and prepare reports to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing
programs
-Report and provide insight among consumer behavior, competitor
development (product, price, place and promotion) from market intelligence,
i.e. VIP / Direct mailers and POS system.
-Manage marketing & media budget, communication plan (including
Advertising, Public Relationship, Promotions and Press Release), trade
promotion, trade shows and press conference for brand building in Japan.
-Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned
