Responsible for the development and administration of compensation and benefits programs that support business objectives, are competitive with market practices, and are applied consistently and efficiently throughout the company; Responsible for oversight of the payroll and social insurance functions, liaising with vendors, authorities and employees; responsible for HR and Labor Cost planning and control as well as work regulations and guidelines.
Works closely with HQ Compensation and other HQ-based specialists by partnering in, coordinating and supporting various HR-related programs and administration. Supports HR Director to design and reestablish HR infrastructures including HR systems, operations, processes and work rules in order to develop HR quality of deliverables.
This position will partner with HR Generalists to provide consultation on areas such as compensation analysis, employee relationship issues and liaising with vendors and authorities as needed.
Responsible for HRIS, including but not limited to internal compensation systems and other talent management systems. Support the company self-service program for management and employee usage.
Oversee the outsourced payroll and social insurance processes. Act as a liaison between the external service provider and employees regarding salary payments process, social insurance and taxation. Act as a liaison between the company and social insurance offices, municipalities; tax offices and other authorities concerned.
Project development and management as needed. Administer the benefits and allowance programs, i.e. Global Mobility; participate in and analyze market practices surveys; liaise with vendors and NY Compensation and Benefits Departments.
Responsible for company working regulations, guidelines and employment contracts to align with Japanese labor law.
Conduct internal and external job analysis and job pricing, conduct job evaluations; participate in and analyze market pay and practices surveys; administer compensation programs including base pay, bonus, incentive and other rewards; act as a resource for managers in guiding compensation decisions; audit job leveling system and pay structures.
- 5 or more years in relevant HR experience
- 3 or more years in compensation analysis experience
- Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding payroll, taxation, and social insurance
- Strong analytical skills for system and process redesign
- Good command of English to be able correspond with overseas associates
- A university degree
- Labor & Social Security Attorney Certification
